Introduction
Novum Minerals is a Mining Consortium registered in the United Kingdom to facilitate the trans-national nature of mining operations.
The group comprises all the mining and trading skills required to fulfil the operational and financial requirements of a major Mining Group.
Novum has acquired a major share in Rift Valley Mining Alliance (RVMA), a Tanzanian company through which the local mining activities will be conducted.

The Rift Valley Mining Alliance
Rift Valley Mining Alliance (RVMA) was established to exploit the coal mining opportunities in the Ruvuma Region. To date 700 hectares of land has been leased through 72 Primary Mining Licences. The RVMA Directors have extensive mining experience from Coal through to Base Metals.
RVMA has also established a trading office in the UK and South Africa dealing in the energy and agriculture sectors.
Novum Minerals Limited (South Africa)
Novum (South Africa) was established to exploit the coal trading opportunities in the Mpumulanga Region. It has further expanded its operation to include the trading of agricultural and fuel products. The Novum Directors have extensive mining experience from Coal through to Base Metals.
Novum has also established trading offices in the UK, Kazakhstan, Mauritius and South Africa dealing in the energy and agriculture sectors.

Our offering includes the following products:
Jet A-1 is a kerosine grade of fuel suitable for most turbine engine aircraft. It is produced to a stringent internationally agreed standard, has a flash point above 38°C (100°F) and a freeze point maximum of -47°C. It is widely available outside the U.S.A. Jet A-1 meets the requirements of British specification DEF STAN 91–91 (Jet A-1), (formerly DERD 2494 (AVTUR)), ASTM specification D1655 (Jet A-1) and IATA Guidance Material (Kerosine Type), NATO Code F-35.
Diesel 10 ppm (EN590) was introduced to coincide with the development of new emissions standards across the European Union. The overall goal has been to reduce the sulphur content of diesel fuel. Sulphur had been used as a lubricant in the fuel. Its role is taken by special additives in ULSD.
Since 2007, diesel that conforms to EN590 has been referred to as Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) in the European Union. The phrase “Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel” is governed by different standards in other parts of the world.
Diesel 50 ppm is a high-quality automotive diesel engine fuel, containing less than 0.005 % sulphur, by mass. These low sulphur levels enable the product to be compatible with emission control devices such as catalytic converters and diesel particulate traps designed to operate at this low sulphur level.

Our team has many years of experience and possess all the technical skills, in Bulk Earthworks, Bulk Materials Handling, Drilling and Blasting, Opencast Mining, Crushing and Screening and Rehabilitation, together with the installation and operation of coal wash plants in order to extract the high value potential of the ROM.
Novum has a significant fleet of mining equipment; the intention is to use what is required from this fleet in the Tanzanian operation.

Wash Plant
An associate company has more than 30 years of experience in developing, manufacturing and marketing wash plants for the South African and African markets. Novum will install and maintain a 300 tph wash plant. This will enable us to build the brand of Tanzanian coal in the international market.
